TrailBlazers Competa is situated on the Eastern side of the province of Malaga. From here we gain immediate access to the mountain ranges of the Sierra de Competa, Sierra de Tejeda and Sierra de Alhama. Heading further North into Granada province lies Spain's largest range, the majestic Sierra Nevadas. Breathtaking scenery awaits you as endless mountain trails, riverbeds and spectacular valleys unfold before your eyes.

Canillas del Albaida and Competa offer the hospitality of the Andalucians who will gladly share their leisurely life style with you. The beautiful village of Competa boasts a host of entertainment, there are two swimming pools, a discotheque, local bodegas, riding stable, tennis courts, squash courts, several craft boutiques, beauty salons and more than thirty bars and restaurants where you can taste the famous Vino de Competa, Sangria and a great variety of tapas. The local climate produces more than 300 sunny days a year with pleasant temperatures all year round. The glorious cities of Malaga, Granada, Cordoba and Seville are nearby. You can explore the diverse Mediterranean and Arab custom dating from earlier times.

CLIMATE: Southern Spain has a warm dry WINTER. Daily average maximum temperatures are around 17 °C (63 °F). Average dry days number about 23 - 24, and typically 6 hours of sunshine can be expected.

By late SPRING, Spain is experiencing settled warm weather, but beware of some rather cool nights. Daily average maximum temperatures will have risen to around 23 °C (72 °F). Average dry days remain at about 23-24, but daily average sunshine hours have increased to about 11 per day.
